Your body is your compass - listen to it
You know that feeling that you're exactly where you're meant to be?
I had that feeling last week when I took this photo with Francesca and Beau, my partner and housemate's dog, at her place in Texas.
If you know this feeling, I'm guessing you also that know the feeling that you're in the wrong place, with the wrong people, heading in the wrong direction too right?
For us to know when we're on track, we have to know what it feels like to be off track. Being off track, or directionless, especially for a long period of time, can be really demotivating.
But when we're on the right path, with the right people, do the right thing, we can FEEL it in our bodies. What is that? And why is a feeling so important?
It's our bodies signaling to us that we're in alignment. It's our bodies doing a little happy dance, like when we eat healthy food, hear good music or share a laugh with another person.
When we're not in alignment, our body tells us too. Not just through the feeling of something being 'off' but also through fatigue, headaches, migraines, anxiety that manifests in IBS - etc. the list goes on.
This goes beyond emotions and chasing a good feeling. This speaks to the deeper truth that our body keeps the score - and not only that - our body is an endlessly intelligent instrument that signals to us, 'yay' or 'nay'.
Our bodies are our COMPASS, telling us which way to go.
When we know and feel that we're heading in the right direction, clarity comes, confidence follows and we follow through with conviction. We attract our people or person and more than anything else, we have peace, because we know in our hears and our bodies that we're exactly where we're meant to be.
Big love - Matt
